Dr. Kirsten MacKenzie

mckenzie

Dr. Kirsten MacKenzie graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2001 and has been working as a small animal veterinarian in the Foothills since graduation. In 2010 Dr. Kirsten saw a special need in veterinary medicine and “At Home Vet Services” was born. She has been providing personalized, experienced, professional veterinary care in the comfort and privacy of her client’s homes for the past 6 years.

During her career she has helped many owners through their time of loss.  Since opening her house call practice in 2010 she has seen firsthand the benefits to owners and pets of being able to say goodbye and grieve in the comfort and privacy of their own home.

Although for many it can be an uncomfortable topic to discuss, the process of dying does not have to be a painful or frightening experience for our animal companions or our selves.  Please don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Kirsten and her team directly. Your initial phone or email consult is complimentary and we consider it an honor to help you celebrate your pet’s life as they journey from this world to the next.

Dr. Kirsten will continue to offer routine veterinary services to her current clients, but will be transitioning her practices focus to offering hospice and end of life services to the elderly and terminally ill pets in the Okotoks, Calgary and surrounding Foothills.

Dr MacKenzie is a member of the following professional organizations.
